Since the heavy storms a few years ago water gets trapped on the beach in front of Morro Rock after the tide retreats.  I was fortunate to be there on a morning when it was perfectly calm and there was beautiful color in the sky.  The smooth water allowed the reflection to be as sharp as the Rock itself.

I liked the curved driftwood which provided something of interest in what would otherwise be a boring patch of sand.  It also leads your eye right up to the Rock.
The patches of light on the Rock really bring out the texture.
