In April we took an RV trip to Anza Borrego State Park. We also stayed in the hills a little south-east of Julian at about 4800’ elevation. Julian is designated a “dark sky” area so I got up at 0’dark thirty one morning to shoot the Milky Way. As I was returning to the RV the morning light was just starting to become visible. The layers of hills and mountains were getting just a bit of definition and the light was starting to reflect off of the Salton Sea. I waited for just a bit more light and took this photo with a long lens and cropped for the panorama format.
